Davido has released a statement to clear the air over his meeting with the Inspector General of Police ,where he was alleged to have denied participating in the #EndSARS protest in Abuja.
Meanwhile social media posts had shown Davido at the protest ground on Sunday but the singer explained that he was in Abuja because of his fans and he was at the protest venue to calm things down.
”I did not protest, I was not there to protest. I was there to calm things down because the protesters were my fans.”he said .

Fans were disappointed after the songwriter mentioned that he didn’t go to Abuja to lead a protest, after being seen with protesters on the streets.
However in a statement released on his Instagram page on Monday evening he revealed that his statement was taken out of contest, after disclosing that he went to calm his fans down, not protest.
