In a sting operation in Lokoja, Kogi State, operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Sunday, busted the enclave of some internet fraudsters, arresting a serving youth corps member and 18 Undergraduates in the process.
This was disclosed in a statement by the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwajuaren,
The EFCC spokesperson added that the suspects were arrested operatives of the agency after credible intelligence on the activities of the fraudsters in the state’s capital city and its environs were gathered.

“The suspects include a serving corps member in the state, Adamu Shuabu, and 18 others.
“They include Achimugu Ojonoka, Victor Atsumbe, Akoh Samuel, Usman Sadiq, Jacob Emmanuel, Solomon John, Christian Oyakhilome, Adesanya Tosin, Uloko Ojonugwa and Timothy Moses.“
Others are Negedu Onuchei, Usman Tenimu, Lukman Musa, Samuel Atadoga, Daniel James, Abdulrazaq Iko-Ahnod, Olarewaju Olumide and Ademola Daniel.
“Upon their arrest, a Lexus car, huge sums of money suspected to be proceeds of illegal activities, different brands of phones, laptops and other incriminating materials were recovered from them,” the statement added.
