The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agun Gbenga, slumped and d!ed at an event in Benin City.
It was gathered that Gbenga collapsed shortly after delivering a goodwill message at an event organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Efforts by attendees to revive him proved abortive He was rushed to the Military Base Hospital in Benin, where he was confirmed dead.
