The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control has announced 436 new cases of COVID19 in the country on Sunday bringing the total to 20,244.
The centre reports that the new cases were from 19 states, of the new cases, 169 were recorded in Lagos, 52 in Oyo and 31 in Plateau.
Other affected states are Imo with (29), Kaduna (28) Ogun (23), FCT (18), Enugu (18), Bauchi( 17), Bayelsa ( 14), Rivers (8), Osun(6) , Kano (6), Edo (5)Benue (5) Adamawa (3), Borno (2) Abia(1) and Ekiti (1)
The NCDC further noted that a total of 6,879 patients have recovered and have been discharged, while the death toll now stands at 518.
It explained that since the outbreak 115,760 samples have been tested and 6,879 infected people have been cured and discharged.
