The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has confirmed 42 additional COVID-19 infections in the country in two weeks.
The confirmation followed the resurgence of COVID-19 across different countries.
The health agency revealed that Lagos State recorded 27 cases, while Edo, Kano, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Plateau and the Federal Capital Territory contributed the remaining figure.
The cases were recorded between December 31, 2022 and January 13,2023.
The new cases brought the country’s total of COVID-19 infections to 266,492.
