A funeral mass was today held in honour of victims of the Sunday, June 5, massacre of worshippers at Francis Catholic Church,Owo.
21 coffins were at the venue of the mass, it was learnt that the remains of some of the victims have been claimed by family members.
No fewer than 40 persons were killed in the attack which has received wide condemnation across the country while about 80 sustained various level of injury.
The venue of the mass, Mydas Resort, Owo, was filled to capacity with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Fmr Governor Olusegun Mimiko in attendance with other top personalities.

Some clergymen, including Bishop Jude Arogundade of Ondo Catholic Diocese and Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, were also in attendance.
Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Affairs, Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, in a Facebook post shared the names and pictures of the victims of the attack as contained in programme of the event.
