Borno State House of Assembly member-elect, Nuhu Clark, has reportedly died in India.
He was said to have died while undergoing treatment in India.
The deceased was on March 18, 2023 elected to represent Chibok constituency of Borno state.
Confirming the development in Maiduguri, Commissioner for Information, Babakura Abba Jatau, notes that Nuhu Clark had during his lifetime served in various capacities, including being Commissioner for Youth and Poverty Alleviation.
The deputy governor of Borno State, Umar Kadafur, in a condolence message, described Clark’s death as a huge loss to his family, the people of Southern Borno, and the state at large.
Kadafur described the lawmaker-elect’s death as a great loss to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in view of his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the state.
He, however, commiserated with the family of the late politician, and prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Governor Babagana Zulum, who is in Mecca for lesser hajj, mourns with shock and extreme grief of the news.
He described Nuhu Clark as an honest man, who contributed earnestly to the development of the state.
