Suspected kidnappers during the weekend hijacked a fully loaded commercial vehicle, killing the driver and abducting all passengers on board.
It was gathered that the incident occurred along the Ogobia–Adoka road in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was learnt that the gunmen ambushed the vehicle, forced it into the bush, and shot the driver, identified as Arrow of God from Aila community in Agatu LGA, before whisking the passengers away.
The attack is coming barely three weeks after gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have reportedly attacked two policemen at a checkpoint along Ogobia–Adoka Road in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to sources, the officers, identified as Inspector Amos Okoh and Inspector Joseph Adowebo, were on routine patrol duty when they came under attack by the armed men.
