The former Nigerian President commended the Bauchi governor for his stride and commitment in changing the face of Bauchi state through execution of developmental projects in critical sectors of the economy and in the areas of human capital development.

“Senator Bala Mohammed is still with me despite leaving office by maintaining the strong relationship between us and I thank him for inviting me to perform the first Commission of projects completed and executed by his administration.”

“I also want to thank the good people of Bauchi state for voting him into power and I urge him to continue to do his best for the state.”

Dr Goodluck Jonathan who expressed gratitude to his former FCT Minister and now the Governor of Bauchi state for naming the commissioned road after his name, said he was surprised that within short period of time, the governor has delivered a lot of projects.

“On behalf of my entourage we appreciate this opportunity and I want to assure you that I will always be available to support him to succeed for the benefit of the Government and people of Bauchi state.”

On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed said the completed Sabon Kaura, Miri to Jos road named Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Drive was amongst the first set of legacy projects embarked upon by his administration within its first one hundred days.

He said the newly constructed 6.2km long road with 10m wide asphalt concrete finished in a state of the art form is to provide a vital access to the Sabon Kaura community that cohosts the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Yalwa campus and equally serves as a bypass linking Jos road with Dass/Tafawa Balewa road.

“Your Excellency, Sir, my mentor, this project you commissioned was completed within six months of my administration. I am glad that no one else but you will perform the very first commissiong exercise since I assumed office as a Governor.”

“This is the least I can do to show my gratitude and appreciation. On behalf of the good people of Bauchi state we once more pledge support and loyalty to you and you can count on us anytime.”

Governor Bala Mohammed said the policy-thrust of his administration is predicated on the global best practices of formulation and implementation of programmes with targets and milestones that are development-oriented to improve the quality of lives of the citizenry.

“At the inception of this Administration in May, 2019, we hit the ground running embracing good governance as a deliberate policy for our development administration to create the desired impact.”
