Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed seven persons and abducted others in Gada community, Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a villager, Ibrahim Musa, the terrorists raided the village around 6 pm on Saturday.
“The bandits, armed with sophisticated weapons, arrived on motorcycles in significant numbers and began shooting indiscriminately at the villagers. We lost seven people in this heinous operation, with scores being kidnapped,” he added.
Musa urged the federal government to intervene in rescuing Zamfara State residents, noting the escalating dire situation.
“No one in the state is safe, and we implore the federal government to deploy more security personnel to Zamfara State to curb the persistent activities of the notorious bandits.”
