A team of soldiers at Zurak Kampani, Wase local government area of Plateau state have been ambushed by bandits.
Wase Local Government Area Headquarters is 100 km drive to Zurak Kampani community.
According to locals, the bandits came to the community when the locals were busy with market activities.
Spokesperson of a multi-security taskforce, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, who confirmed the ambush, said no soldier was killed in the incident.
He explained that the taskforce has been able to maintain peace in the state.
Sources said that a day before the ambush, bandits stormed Pinau village of the same local government area, and rustled over 500 cattle.
