Bagudu Swears-in Three New Commissioners

Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Bagudu has Sworn-in three new commissioners into the State Executive Council.

They are Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari, Alhaji Garba Ibrahim Geza and Alhaji Hayatuddeen Ahmad Bawa Jega.

The swearing-in followed ratification of their appointment by the Kebbi State House of Assembly.

The oath of office and allegiance was administered on them by Justice Ibrahim Abubakar Kangiwa who represented the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Sulaiman Muhammad Ambursa.

Speaking at the swearing in ceremony, the governor commended the State House of Assembly for the speedy approval of their nomination .

He implored the new Commissioners to uphold the policies and programmes of the administration aimed at making Kebbi state a better place.

The Governor also advised them to always study and understand the operations of government including revenue generation and existing position of resources of the state as well as understanding its potential towards strengthening their capacity to work for the betterment of the people.

He also talked about the issues of insecurity, Covid-19 and flooding which had an impact on the responsibility of government, urging them to appreciate the position of the state and chart the best course of action.

The governor commended serving commissioners for their sacrifice towards improving the social and economic wellbeing of the people and thanked the newly sworn-in commissioners for accepting to work in the interest of the state.
