An angry mob on Wednesday, April 19th reportedly set a BRT bus ablaze following and accident that happened in Lagos.
The accident occured, at Ifako inwards Ogudu Bridge involving the said BRT Bus and a commercial bus.
The commercial bus driver reportedly died at the scene while many passengers were injured.
Confirming the accident, spokesman for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) blamed the collision on the buses’ excessive speed.
The spokesman added that the BRT bus caught fire, aggravating the congestion along the axis, and the rain compounded the gridlock.
LASTMA officials have been deployed to the accident scene to manage the traffic.
