Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State have arrested a 35-year-old man identified as Musa Abdulai, suspected to be supplying food items to bandits at their hideouts in the state.
The Head of the Communications Department of the Corps, Adeleye Abiodun in a statement said Abdulai, an indigene of Sokoto State residing at Shasha in Akure, Ondo State was on Monday 7th October, 2024 arrested in Ise Ekiti at about 6:30 pm.
Adeleye pointed out that the suspect was grabbed by the Amotekun Operatives of lse-Ekiti Local Government Command at Oritan Forest Reserve located at Ise/Orun during a patrol and confessed that he had been supplying food items to people suspected to be Fulani/Bororo bandits hiding in the area.
Exhibits recovered from him at the scene of his arrest inside the forest included a sack bag containing food items.
He has since been handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Ise Ekiti for further investigations.
