A 43-year-old socialite, Sunday Bayo, popularly known as Saybayo has been killed by unknown assailants in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
It was gathered that the deceased was declared missing by his family and friends on Sunday, December 9, 2023.
However, Bayo’s lifeless body was found in his vehicle in a pool of blood inside one of the popular residential estates in the Ijapo area of Akure metropolis in the early hours of Monday.
A friend of the deceased, who pleaded anonymity due to the ongoing investigation over the murder, revealed that the case has been reported at the Ijapo Police Station.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed the incident, added that security agencies have launched an investigation into the murder case.
