Several passengers onboard an Air Peace aircraft from Abuja cheated death on Friday as one of the plane’s tyres blew off after landing at the Ilorin International Airport in Kwara State.
The runway of the airport was reportedly closed to traffic for evacuation.
The airline in a statement debunked reports that its plane crashed at the airport.
The statement read, “Our aircraft neither crashed nor crash-landed in Ilorin or in any place for that matter.
“Air Peace is committed to providing peaceful connectivity across cities and relentlessly observes the highest standards of safety in its operations.”
Air Peace began operation from Ilorin Airport on June 16.
