The abducted monarch of Panyam in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, His Royal Highness, Aminu Derwan, has regained freedom.
His freedom came three days after he was abducted by gunmen at his palace.
The traditional ruler was released around 11:45 pm on Wednesday June 22, to the waiting arms of his family who had been negotiating for his release.
Dewan arrived his palace in Panyam amidst jubilation by his subjects and other chiefs on Thursday morning.
The State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, confirmed his release on Thursday June 23.
It is unclear if the family paid any ransom or not before his release but the kidnappers had demanded for N150 million ransom but reduced it to N10 million on Wednesday morning.
