A former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Okey Wali, has been released by his abductors.
Wali, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was released yesterday, after spending two weeks in captivity.
He was abducted on April 17, 2023, after his convoy was attacked along East–West Road, Jephtha area in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Wali’s release was confirmed by the NBA Chairman, Rivers State branch, Viktor Benibo.
The police is yet to release a statement on the release of the SAN.
It is uncertain if any ransom was paid for his release.
