The abducted Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu has regained his freedom.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Catherine Anene confirmed the commissioner’s release Tuesday evening on the command’s media platform.
It was earlier reported that the captors opened talks and demanded N5 million ransom.
It could not be ascertained if any ransom was paid for the freedom of the commissioner.
The commissioner was said to have been kidnapped at the Adankari Junction along the Otukpo-Ado Road on Saturday.
