A nine year-old girl has been caught on CCTV as the person responsible for the burning of the multi-billion naira Ebeano Supermarket in Abuja.
The police have now arrested the minor, who walked to the inflammable section and lit the fire that destroyed the supermarket.
Lighters, gas cylinders were kept in the section, leading to the July 17 Fire outbreak that fire fighters found difficult to extinguish.
In responses to the police investigators, the girl said she came to the shop in company of her mum and sister.
“We went to the market first before going to the shop. My mummy was with my sister at the drink session,” she told investigators.
