Three thousand members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP have decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Birninkudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar who was represented by the state deputy governor Alhaji Umar Namadi received the defectors in Birninkudu local government.
While addressing the crowd, the Governor welcomes the thousands that decided to join in the struggle to make Jigawa state and Nigeria better through the initiatives of the APC.
According to him, the APC government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has achieved a lot and Jigawa state, in particular, is among the top beneficiaries in the country.
Earlier, some of the members of the PDP who tore their membership cards at the arena of the event said their decision was necessary following the achievements of the APC administration.
They also vow to dedicate their entire political structure to the development of the All Progressive Congress APC.
