The Nigeria Security and Civil Devence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 30-year-old teacher for defiling a 13-year-old pupil in Zamfara State.
Spokesperson of NSCDC in the state, Ikor Oche, said that the suspect, Mukaila Abdurrazak, who has been teaching the minor both in school and at home, had been taking advantage of the girl for the past three years.
Oche stated that the suspect confessed to the crime during preliminary investigation and will be charged to court.
The Zamfara NSCDC advised parents to be vigilant and mindful of who they are leaving their children and wards for in the disguise of teaching or otherwise.
