Former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has publicly reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign for the 2027 general elections.
He dispelled rumours of political defection.
In a post on X at 6:47 PM WAT, Ambode stated, “I remain steadfast in my commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election. I am confident that, with another four years, Nigerians will have more reasons to celebrate our collective progress.”
The statement, shared with his 1.2 million X followers, underscores his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Tinubu’s vision.
Ambode, who governed Lagos from 2015 to 2019, denied speculations of aligning with the Action Democratic Congress (ADC).
