Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has resigned his appointment to pursue his political ambition.
The Minister had on May 6, 2022, declared for the presidency under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Onu’s resignation is in line with the directive by President Muhammadu Buhari to cabinet members with political ambition to resign.
Buhari’s directive was made known on Wednesday, at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.
Following the directive Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Godswill Akpabio, Emeka Nwajuiba, Minister of State for Education, Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation have resigned.
