A policeman on Thursday atallegedly killed a tricycle driver in Mgbuchi-Rukpokwuodu, Obio/Akpor Lukpokwu, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The rider of the tricycle otherwise known as ‘Keke NAPEP’ driver, as ‘School Boy’ was allegedly shot dead in the early hours of Thursday after an argument ensued between him and the security personnel over N100 bribe.
The unnamed police officer was said to have pulled the trigger on the tricycle driver whose wife reportedly put to bed 2 days ago.
The incident has led to unrest in the area as residents burn tyres and occupy the street in protest of the killing.
