An 18-passenger bus has plunged into one of the rivers in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The bus with registration number Oyo GBH 734 XB it was gathered on Tuesday fell into Kinnira stream Sunday night.
No casualty was recorded in the incident
Sources disclosed that the bus which was coming from the direction of Iluju was empty when the incident occured.
Only the driver identified as Mayowa was in the bus but he escaped.
A source disclosed that passengers had earlier disembarked from the bus following an earlier crash.
But he eventually crashed the unoccupied bus into the canal of the river.
“He rammed into the railings of the river and fell inside.”
Although the bus has been retrieved from the river, the location of the driver has remained unknown as of the time of filing this report on Tuesday.
